Tom & Jerry is an animated series which describes a comical comedy series of fight between a cat (Tom) and Jerry (mouse). It was initially created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. They joined hands with MGM studio and created 114 short stories.

Hanna and Barbera created theses shorts between 1941 and 1957. Fred Quimby was the producer during this period. From the year 1960 to 1962 William .L. Synder was the producer and till 1967 Chuck Jones was responsible for the same. Tom & Jerry became popular once it was telecasted in the television on the year 1965. Tom & Jerry has become a popular phrase to denote friends or pairs who always fight with each other
