One tends to reverse the clock and go back on time when visiting Sigiriya, the acclaimed heritage site located in Sri Lanka. It was built by King Kasyapa way back during the period of 477 A.D - 495 A.D. Also known as the Lion Rock, it has some 1500 steps to climb. The landscape boasts of beautiful water gardens and a mind-blowing painting gallery. To reach Sigiriya Village one should disembark at Colombo airport.

Mount Everest is a peak located on the crest of Himalayas. It is termed as ‘Chomolungma’ by Tibetans and ‘Sagarmatha’ by Nepalese. This is exactly located in the border between Tibet and Nepal. It is the highest point on the earth measuring 29,035 feet (8850 meters). Many cliff hangers and extremely challenging people tried to reach the peak of Mount Everest. Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay claimed to reach the peak for the first time.

In the year 1999, the body of an English explorer George Mallery’s was found below the peak. Unofficial reports claims that George was the first person to reach the peak and died while he was retreating.
